In Sigma International’s Liquid Silicone Rubber Molding process, materials are precisely blended to mold end parts. This process requires special equipment that relies on a metered pumping device and an injection molding machine with a mixing device attached.
Liquid Silicone Rubber Molding starts with the two silicone components – A and B. These two components are mixed precisely at a 50/50 mixture. After they are combined, the mixture is pumped to the injection molding machines and the molding machine extruder rotates to build a shot. When the shot is built, the injection unit injects the shot into the mold where it sets.
